In addition to the HomePod 16.3 update, Apple today also released tvOS 16.3, version number (20K650), the third major update to the tvOS 16 operating system originally released last September. tvOS 16.3 is available for Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD, and comes six weeks after the tvOS 16.2 was released six weeks after the release of tvOS 16.2, the tvOS 16.2 update that added Apple Music singing.
The tvOS 16.3 update can be downloaded through the Settings app OTA on Apple TV by going to System > Software Update. Apple TV users who have automatic software updates turned on will automatically be upgraded to tvOS 16.3.
The tvOS updates are usually small and focus on internal bug fixes and improvements, rather than significant external changes. There’s no word yet on what new features are included in the tvOS 16.3 update, and no obvious highlight features were found during Beta testing. The official Apple changelog indicates that the update includes general performance and stability improvements.
