Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman today released the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, which mentioned that Apple’s OLED iPad Pro, which will be launched on May 7, has a high probability of being equipped with the M4 chip for the first time.

Mark Gurman claimed that the upcoming iPad Pro models will not be equipped with the M3 chip that debuted in MacBook Pro and iMac six months ago, but will be equipped with an M4 chip with “powerful neural engine capabilities” to improve related AI. task performance.

Referring to previous reports, Apple’s M4 chips are divided into three versions, with the low-end chip code-named Donan, the mid-range chip code-named Brava, and the high-end chip code-named Hidra.

The M4 chip will be built using the same 3nm process as the M3 chip, but Apple supplier TSMC may use an improved version of the 3nm process to improve performance and power efficiency. Apple also plans to add a vastly improved Neural Engine, increasing the number of cores used for artificial intelligence tasks.
