Acer Chromebook Vero 514 launches with Intel Core processor variants

With a focus on sustainability Acer took recycled materials into use on their new Acer Chromebook Vero 514.

Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is the first of its kind in the manufacturer’s sustainability-focused line-up. This is the first Chromebook from Acer under the Vero line-up. Until this time, Acer have only launched Windows laptops under the Vero line-up, this change came as a shock to the industry.

Before this launch, the company put little effort into promoting this Chromebook. Just like other laptops in the Vero line-up, the new 514 Chromebook uses recycled materials for its various components. From the packaging to the Chromebook itself, recyclable material is abundant in use.

At this moment the Vero 514 is not yet available for sale but will go into sale in the coming months. Asides, from this Chromebooks focussing on sustainability, it also packs some amazing specifications. Starting will be its 14-inch Full HD display, which comprises “99% recycled materials”.

The display also supports touch in some regions, we were able to gather that the touch display model won’t make its way to the US. For its processing power, this laptop uses the Intel Core i7-1255U SoC. There will also be other processor options available with this Chromebook, specifically the Intel Core i3 variant.

For a Chromebook, the processing power of the Vero 514 is more than enough. There is also a Full HD webcam for video calls and online meetings or conferences. Once available, this Chromebook will cost $499.99 for the Intel Core i7-1255U processor variant.
