Xiaomi officially announced today that the new Xiaomi TV S series products will be officially released on March 22. The S series of TVs is named after the ES series, EA series, Digital series, Redmi TV, Xiaomi TV Master and Xiaomi Transparent OLED TV.
Wang Hua, general manager of Xiaomi’s public relations department, explained in a post this afternoon that the “E” in EA/ES in Xiaomi’s TV model naming actually stands for bezel-less, as there were still products with bezels in the market when they were launched. But with the progress of products and technological alternatives, bezel-less design has been completely popularized, so the future naming will remove the E directly to S and A to make a distinction.
Wang Hua also said that the future of Xiaomi TV has only three series, the Master Series represents the high-end series, S represents the main products, A represents the entry level.
According to the previous Xiaomi official preview, the new Xiaomi TV S series can achieve a high refresh rate of 144Hz without giving up clarity and is equipped with a new quad-core A73 flagship chip with 3200Mbps memory.
