Several leaks that have appeared on Weibo revealed that the Huawei Pocket S will be a toned-down version of the original model. Instead of the Snapdragon 888 4G chip, the Pocket S will arrive with the Snapdragon 778G onboard. It will arrive in two variants, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, claims the tipster.

It will feature a 6.9-inch foldable OLED panel that will offer a resolution of 2790 x 1180 pixels. On the back, it will have a round-shaped 1.04-inch secondary display with 340 x 340 pixels resolution. The P50 Pocket’s rear camera setup comprises a 40-megapixel main camera and a 32-megapixel ultra-wide camera. While the Pocket S’ will retain the main camera, the 32-megapixel camera will be replaced by a 13-megapixel snapper. On the front, it will be equipped with a 10.7-megapixel selfie camera.

The Huawei Pocket S will come preloaded with HarmonyOS 3. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging. We can’t validate this claim from our sources, so we’ll advise that you take the information with a pinch of salt. Both storage capacities are more than enough for regular usage but might be a dealbreaker for the power users demanding more storage and RAM capacity.

Our sources also gave off hands-on images of the Huawei Pocket S in what appears to be the Pink colour option. The images show off the circular rear display, triple camera cutout, and thickness of the device while folded. Already, Huawei has begun accepting pre-orders for their upcoming clamshell folding device that might make great sales in its local market.

From the use of vibrant and eye-catching colours in the video teaser, we can expect this device to launch with various colour options.
