For reference, GAC Toyota sold 71,875 units in January and 43,271 units in February. Its cumulative sales this year have reached 170,533 units.

GAC Toyota also announced that the ninth-generation Camry model has arrived in stores across the country and has begun delivery.

Overall, GAC-Toyota achieved sales of 83,084 units in September.

• The Electrifield models are 28,221 units (Refers to Smart electric hybrid twins, intelligent plug-in twins, EV models, in simple terms, including oil hybrid / plug-in hybrid / pure electric), accounting for 34% of the total.
• Smart models 74,761 vehicles (equipped with T-Pilot intelligent driver assistance system models), accounting for 90% of the total.
• 35,484 units of three flagship models (sedan: Camry, SUV: Lambda, MPV: Sana), accounting for 43% of the total.

In addition, monthly sales of the compact SUV model Frontier exceeded 20,000 units, up 113% year-on-year, claiming another record high.

For reference, GAC Toyota achieved sales of 79,757 units last month, with sales of 19839 units of Frontier Lambda, up 116% year-on-year; and sales of 71,343 units in July, with two consecutive months of year-on-year increases.

The major automobile enterprises in September car sales (as of press time):

• Changan Automobile’s independent brand new energy vehicle sales exceeded 50,000 units, Avita 11 delivered 3,083 units.
• GAC AION delivered 51,596 new cars in September, a year-on-year increase of 72%; January-September cumulative sales of 350,986 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 93%.
• Li Automobile delivered 36,060 units in September, up 212.7% year-on-year.
• Wuling Bengo sold 24,650 vehicles in September, with cumulative sales of 126,174 vehicles.
• SAIC-Volkswagen’s ID. family ordered more than 20,000 units in September, of which the ID.3 model accounted for 15,000 units, and cumulative sales of the ID. family had exceeded 160,000 units by the end of September.
• Zero Run Auto delivered 15,800 units in September, with a total of 44,325 units delivered in the third quarter.
• Nio delivered 15,641 new vehicles in September, up 43.8% year-on-year, and 55,432 vehicles in the third quarter, up 75.4%.
• Xpeng Auto delivered 15,310 new vehicles in September, up 81% year-on-year.
• Hozon Auto delivered 13,211 units in September, with cumulative deliveries in the Thai market exceeding 10,000 units.
• SAIC Motor’s September new energy vehicle sales of 10,002 units increased 168% year-on-year.
• Vohya Auto delivered 5,010 units in September, up 99% year-on-year; cumulative sales from January to September increased by 102% over the same period.
• Skyworth Auto 2023 delivered 3,635 units in September and exported 1,420 units overseas, up 142% year-on-year.
• ArkFox Auto delivered 2,016 new vehicles in September, with cumulative deliveries from January to September totalling 14,501 units.
• HiPhi Y model delivered 1,556 units in September, up 52.4% from a year earlier.
• Geely’s September sales of 170,500 units, up 31% year-on-year, hit a record high.

Judging from the data of electrified models that everyone is concerned about, GAC Toyota’s sales of electrified models reached 22,973 in May, accounting for nearly 30% of the total sales.

In addition, GAC Toyota’s sales of intelligent models reached 75,245 in May, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%, accounting for 97% of total sales.

At present, many manufacturers have announced the latest May results. The following is a summary of the car delivery/sales data of each brand in May as follows:

 GAC Toyota sold 22,973 electrified vehicles in May, accounting for nearly 30% of the total;

 BYD Auto's May sales were 240,220 units, a year-on-year increase of 97.63%;

 GAC Aion sold 45,003 vehicles in May, a year-on-year increase of 114% and a month-on-month increase of 10%. The cumulative sales volume from January to May was 166,323, a year-on-year increase of 119%;

 Li Auto delivered 28,277 new cars in May, a year-on-year increase of 146%

 Hozon Automobile delivered 13,029 units in May, an increase of 18% year-on-year. Among them, 2042 units were delivered overseas, and 1716 units were delivered by Nezha GT;

 Leapmotor delivered 12,058 units in May, an increase of over 38% month-on-month;

 Zeekr Auto delivered a total of 8,678 vehicles in May, an increase of approximately 100% year-on-year;

 Xpeng Motors delivered 7,506 new cars in May, an increase of 6% month-on-month;

 Changan Deep Blue SL03 delivered 7,021 units in May;

 NIO delivered 6,155 vehicles in May, down 7.6% month-on-month;

 AITO Huawei series delivered 5,629 new cars, a month-on-month increase of 22.7%;

 Voyah Auto delivered 3,003 new cars in May, a year-on-year increase of 231%.

As for the electronic control system, the PCU power control unit has significantly increased power density, achieved 17% lighter weight, reduced energy loss by 10%, and increased current output by more than 8% (120A → 130A).

Toyota has formed an electrification technology line including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, pure electric, and hydrogen-electric. In the future, GAC Toyota’s hybrid products will be fully equipped with the latest generation of the intelligent electric-hybrid dual-engine system.

In 2023, Toyota will release and upgrade 12 dual-engine products to realize the entire range of TNGA vehicles. bZ Pure Electric brand will introduce a new model developed by GAC Group, Toyota and GAC Toyota in the future. In addition, GAC Toyota plans to reach 60% of sales of electrified models by 2025 and 100% by 2035.

Data show that the second phase of GAC Toyota’s new energy vehicle production capacity expansion project covers an area of 740,000 square meters, with a production capacity of 200,000 units per year. This year, in the second phase of the new energy vehicle capacity expansion project, GAC Toyota’s first e-TNGA pure electric medium-sized SUV bZ4X rolled off the production line.

GAC Toyota was established in September 2004, and its cumulative production reached 7 million units in October this year. At present, GAC Toyota has formed a product line covering a total of 12 electrified models including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric vehicles, covering the sedan, SUV, and MPV market segments. This year, GAC Toyota will also introduce Toyota’s second-generation Mirai hydrogen luxury sedan.

GAC Toyota stated that it will comprehensively expand its lineup of pure electric products and accelerate the ecological layout of the new energy industry. It plans to account for nearly 60% of sales of electrified models by 2025 and 100% by 2035.
