Stage manager on iPadOS 16 aims to improve multitasking on an iPad

At WWDC22, Apple unveiled their new feature “stage manager” for iPadOS 16. This feature aims to bring better multitasking features to the iPad. As the new update for iPads rolls out, how does this feature promise to accomplish its goal to redefine multitasking?

There are many new features available on iPadOS 16, but in this article, we will look into one. This feature is bringing overlapping windows to the iPad community. With this, a user can effortlessly switch between windows or running apps while working.

This coming feature will bring the freedom to arrange running applications in a way that suits how users work. Resize apps, overlay them, and organize them in background stacks for easy access. Sharing the iPad screen with a larger display or monitor will also help maximize productivity.

The beta version of this iPad update is available for download, although it will not be stable. A more stable rollout will come in the month of September. This update will be a much-welcomed one because iPads are becoming more powerful.

With more powerful processors from Apple coming to the iPad line-up, there is a need for software to balance out with hardware. So many people now look to their iPads as a productivity machine, although it lacks some software features. This update (iPadOS 16) which will bring this feature (stage manager), is a much-needed one.
