Samsung’s production targets for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are more than double those of last year’s foldable phones. It is stated as per Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). It’s possible that Samsung intends to sell a minimum of twice as many Galaxy Z series phones in 2022.

According to Ross Young, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 could be cheaper than previous generations. This is achievable now that more smartphone manufacturers are releasing foldable phones. Outside of China, companies including OPPO, OnePlus, Vivo, and Xiaomi are likely to release foldable phones this year.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be thinner and lighter when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung may be attempting to increase sales by making foldable phones simpler to use and less expensive. Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have main and ultrawide lenses similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

With the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung added support for an S Pen. The fans were hoping for a built-in S Pen with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. On Twitter, the tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will not have a built-in S Pen slot. This implies that while the phone may support the S Pen, it lacks the dedicated slot found on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
