Samsung Galaxy S23 still has plans to offer the Exynos version despite the back-to-back flop dilemma

0

Today, according to blogger i Ice Universe, Samsung may still release the Exynos version of the Galaxy S23 series in some markets (Samsung’s mobile division has reportedly expressed its displeasure with this). The news is that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is available in Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and Exynos 2300 versions, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 version accounting for over 70% of the total and the Exynos 2300 version accounting for less than 30%.

This means that even if Samsung does have an Exynos 2300 version of the Galaxy S23 series, it will only be available in a very small number of markets, probably only for European users, with the country version most likely being the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 version.

Details about the Exynos 2300 are unknown at the moment, it should be OEM’d by Samsung itself and is expected to feature a Cortex X3 mega core, Cortex A715 large core and Cortex A510 small core with an integrated AMD GPU.

It is worth noting that the Exynos version of the Galaxy S22 series had been trolled by users due to the poor performance of the previous generation Exynos 2200.

It is reported that in March this year, many users found that the Galaxy S22 series equipped with the Exynos 2200 flagship processor would sometimes run slowly, press answer when a call came without any response, and the GPS also often gave errors.

Specifically, many users reported that when they opened Google Maps, the phone would say “GPS not found” and the bug persisted even after factory settings were restored.

The problem occurs with the Exynos version, while the Snapdragon 8 version, which was launched at the same time, has no problem, which means that the problem has a lot to do with the Exynos 2200 chip. As for how the Exynos 2300 performs, we’ll see how it performs when the new product is released.
