Apple says software update coming next week to fix iPhone 14 Pro camera shake issue

0

Apple told Bloomberg that a software update will be released next week to fix the camera shake issue affecting the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. This addresses customer concerns that the latest findings show that the drastic camera shake issue is not caused by a hardware defect in their new phones, and instead users can easily fix it by installing a software update.

The camera shake issue affects some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro models, especially in third-party apps such as Snapchat and TikTok. Interestingly, Apple’s own camera app works perfectly fine.

A “scary scene” about this bizarre bug is now making the rounds on the TikTok platform.

The problem seems to be related to the firmware of the optical image stabilization system that controls the camera lens, which will manifest itself as an audible rattling sound in the camera module and a noticeable shaking of the output video.

If you have this camera issue on your iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max, then stay tuned for a fix in a software update coming next week, possibly iOS 16.0.2. In the meantime, it may not be advisable to keep reproducing the camera system bug if you see this issue, as it could potentially cause some permanent physical damage to the hardware.
