Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts Samsung Galaxy S23 will be all Qualcomm chipset

As planned, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones next year. Similar to its predecessor, the new devices are expected to continue to lead the market in terms of pricing and features. Recently, a reputable source in the tech industry has revealed plenty more details about the Galaxy S23’s chip options. In a series of tweets, Ming-Chi Kuo wrote that Qualcomm could be the sole processor supplier for the Galaxy S23.

With Apple taking the lead in developing its own chips and demonstrating impressive performance improvements with the M1 and M2, it was once rumored that Samsung would also join the fray.

However, leading tech industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo points out that Qualcomm is likely to be the sole processor supplier for the Galaxy S23.

For reference, Qualcomm chips account for nearly 70% of the Galaxy S22 series smartphone shipments.

But thanks to the next flagship 5G chipset using TSMC’s 4nm process, the Qualcomm SM8550’s power efficiency performance will be significantly better than Samsung’s own legendary Exynos 2300.

While the Samsung Exynos 2300 is falling across the board, Qualcomm is gaining more market share in the high-end Android smartphone market in 2023.

It should be noted that although the Tianfeng International Securities analyst has a history of breaking news quite reliably, most of the supply chain news previously shared was related to Apple.

Occasionally, however, @mingchikuo makes predictions about tech giants like Samsung and Meta, and AppleTrack’s website shows that it’s 72 percent accurate.

Although it sometimes misses the mark due to inaccurate sources or changes in plans during the early design and production stages, it is still widely regarded and recognized by the global media.
