Due to capacity constraints, BYD in the country from the order to delivery, the universal standard to wait for weeks or even months, which has caused a lot of consumer dissatisfaction, but compared with Toyota/Lexus in Japan, BYD is considered a brother! In recent news, following the Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX in Japan to stop accepting orders, Lexus NX is also hard to escape, the reason remains because of the shortage of chips and the new crown epidemic caused by supply restrictions resulting in insufficient production.

It is reported that NX is very popular in Japan, due to the shortage of chips, Japanese consumers also need to wait more than 1 year to mention the new car, so Toyota decided to suspend NX in Japan to take orders.

Toyota said that the lack of necessary parts has affected the capacity of the factory. The reason was not only because of chip shortage but also supply restrictions caused by the New Crown epidemic.

As previously reported, Toyota’s production is 400,000 units behind expectations, and the company must produce 840,000 units per month starting this July to meet its original target of 9.7 million units for the current fiscal year.

In the domestic market, the new generation of Lexus NX was launched last year with a price tag of 31.88-54.88 million yuan. It is based on the TNGA architecture and is positioned as a mid-size SUV, but its body dimensions are only 466018651660 mm with a wheelbase of 2690 mm.

Earlier, Toyota officially announced that the Land Cruiser and Lexus LX stopped taking orders in Japan, and its delivery time is as long as four years, which is the longest in history, and the exposure of this matter has also caused many netizens’ hot debate.

However, the Lexus NX stopped taking orders in Japan does not affect domestic consumers, for one thing, this car is limited in our sales here, and secondly, its price and profit is really not low, Toyota will certainly want to send priority to ensure supply.
