Redmi India has officially announced that Redmi’s first tablet, the Redmi Pad, will be officially launched on October 4, along with the Xiaomi 12T series, which features a 200-megapixel main camera.

The Redmi Pad is a slim and light device with a four-sided design, dual speakers on the top and bottom, four speakers in total, Dolby Atmos support, volume buttons and memory card slots on the sides, and two colorways of green and grey.

The back of the Redmi Pad features a matrix lens module similar to that of the Xiaomi tablet, but with a single camera due to its positioning.

In terms of core specifications, the Redmi Pad comes with a 10.61-inch 2K (2000*1200p) LCD screen with 90Hz high swipe support and 400nits brightness.

It is also powered by MediaTek’s 6nm Helio G99 processor, has a built-in 8000mAh battery, supports 18W fast charging with a 22.5W charger as standard, has 8MP front and rear cameras, and runs Android 12’s MIUI 13 For Pad OS.

It is easy to see from the configuration that the Redmi Pad is aimed at the $1,000 entry-level market and is expected to be priced between $1,100 and $1,400. With a 2K screen + 4 speakers configuration, it is enough to satisfy the needs of users who like to catch up on video.

It is reported that the China version of the Redmi Pad is expected to be released in October together with the Redmi Note 12 series.
