At Tesla 2022 AI Day, Tesla officially announced that the FSD Beta Autopilot beta currently has 160,000 customers, compared to only 2,000 in 2021.

Tesla said it expects to release FSD Beta 10.69.2.3 after AI Day.

Elon Musk said the FSD Beta will be available globally by the end of the year, with regulatory approval required for markets outside of North America.

Tesla’s latest release of FSD Beta 10.69.2, Elon Musk wants owners to remain cautious when testing, especially when around pedestrians. In a reply to a comment from a user, Elon Musk addressed the question of when the FSD system will be officially launched. Twitter user @Tesla__Mania asked Elon Musk if his previous statement in Master Plan Part Deux that “the FSD system needs 10 billion test miles to be approved by global regulators” still holds true.

In early September, Tesla officially increased the price of the FSD system from $12,000 to $15,000 and did not add any new features. It’s worth noting that at this time, Tesla FSD is not actually a fully autonomous driving system, and it still requires the driver to be alert and ready to take over the vehicle at any time.
