OpenAI has released a blog post today, admitting that since March 20, some subscribers (about 1.2%) may see personal information and payment information of others.

The official blog post as follows: “We shut down ChatGPT a few hours ago this Monday, and some users may get to another active member’s name, email address, payment address, last four digits of their credit card and credit card expiration time. We promise not to expose the full credit card number under any circumstances.”

OpenAI believes that the number of ChatGPT Plus users who actually saw other people’s personal and payment information during that time frame was “extremely low. That said, the company is in the process of contacting those who may have compromised their information.
