At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show that opened today, the new Hongqi H9 was officially launched, with a price range of 329,800-539,800 RMB. The overall design of the new car is basically the same as the current model, with only details such as the headlight group being adjusted. It also provides a variety of power, seat layouts and color matching configurations to meet the individual needs of different users.
It is noticed that the biggest highlight in appearance of the new Hongqi H9 is the innovation in its front face design. The integration of LED daytime running lights with the front grille and the new shape of the internal light source greatly enhance the visibility of the vehicle when it is lit. The high and low beam light group below has changed from a traditional rectangular shape to a more modern trapezoidal design, while the dot matrix design in the straight waterfall front grille further enhances the vehicle’s fashionable atmosphere.
On the side of the body, the flag-style decorative strips on the front fenders of the new Hongqi H9 are available in red. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5137/1904/1498mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 3060mm.
In terms of rear design, the new Hongqi H9 adopts a through-type taillight set. The longitudinal layout of the taillights on both sides and the internal light source design of five parallel LED light strips make the rear of the car particularly eye-catching at night.
It is worth mentioning that the new model will have a regular version and a blackened version. The blackened version mainly blackens the trim strips on the front grille, side window frames, and rear bumper. At the same time, the exhaust looks more sporty, and the rear bumper looks sportier. A lower spoiler is added, and the side of the sports version is decorated with the red flag brand LOGO.
In terms of interior, the new Hongqi H9 will be upgraded to a new suspended central control screen design, and the size has also been upgraded. The decoration on the lower part of the steering wheel has been optimized, and a storage space has been added under the center console to provide a charging interface. Some buttons around the electronic gearbox have also been removed, and the designs of the seats and doors have also been readjusted.
In terms of power performance, the new Hongqi H9 provides three power options: 3.0T, 2.5T and the new 1.8T version, with maximum powers of 248 kW, 223 kW and 165 kW respectively. In addition, the 2.0T model also appeared in the change declaration, and the possibility of launching four power models in the future cannot be ruled out.
