Huawei’s Mate Xs 2 is now an even more productive machine with the launch of the M Pen 2s! As we covered in this article, the Mate Xs 2 will support an M-Pen, but at launch, this device didn’t come bundled with an M Pen. Well, Huawei didn’t forget its promise to users intending to buy the Mate Xs 2, the M-Pen 2s just launched. If you own a Mate Xs 2 or intend to get one, you can buy the M-Pen separately at 599 yuan, it will be available on June 1.
Now, for the features of the M-Pen 2s, it comes with a 4096 pressure sensitivity level. This implies that it can write at different line thicknesses and pressure on the Mate Xs 2. It also comes with a smart button used to activate the pen functions on the Mate Xs 2, functions can also be activated by tapping the screen with a pen tip. Just like a regular pen, the new M Pen weighs about 17g.
The pen charges via its inbuilt Type-C connector (covered by a little cap at the end of the pen). Take off the cap and simply plug the pen into a Type-C port, and it charges. With a single charge, the M-Pen 2s can write for over 10 hours and standby for up to 40 days.
