This might be one of the largest recalls in recent times from Ferrari, as it involves over 23,000 vehicles. All vehicles in this recall span from 2005 models to 2022 models. The issue prompting this recall is failing brakes, which could lead to hazards.

Well, not all vehicles sold by Ferrari from 2005 to 2022 are part of this recall, just a few portions from each year. Sometime last year, the car manufacturing company also made a similar recall over the same issue. The recall last year affected about 10,000 vehicles from 2010 to 2019 models.

This issue became known to Ferrari thanks to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s fillings. In their fillings, they pinpointed the problem preventing proper venting of the brakes reservoir cap. This issue outlined by the NHTSA makes the brake fluid leak, leading to the total or partial loss of braking capabilities.

The said fix to this issue involves the replacement of the reservoir cap, replacing it with a more up-to-date version. A software instalment is also important to ensure that owners of Ferrari vehicles get an instant notification when their brake fluid runs low. The company has begun rolling out recalls for any vehicle that is affected by this issue.
