Although Samsung has not yet released the Galaxy Watch5 smartwatch, well-known tipster @evLeaks has shared a set of screenshots on Twitter running “wearOS 3.5 / One UI Watch 4.5”, giving us a first look at the dial and interaction design of Samsung’s new wearable device. We have a preliminary understanding of the dial and interaction design of Samsung’s new wearable device.

@evLeaks first showed a set of official images of the so-called One UI Watch 4.5, and then showed the watch’s QWERTY input method/keyboard layout.

The screenshot shows three input modes: Dictation, Keyboard, and Handwriting.

The next set of images shows that the Galaxy Watch5 has been connected to a host device (smartphone) with dual SIM cards to easily distinguish between phone dialing and SMS sending and receiving.

The screenshots also hint at some secondary features, such as enabling TalkBack (reading aloud whatever is displayed on the screen) from any interface by double-tapping the watch’s Home key.

There are also accessibility settings for visual impairment, left/right channel equalization, where the user can change the response to tap/hold presses.

Finally, only the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and the recently released Montblanc Summit 3 are currently using Wear OS 3. But if the news is true, Samsung may soon push the One UI Watch 4.5 software experience based on Wear OS 3.5 customization.
