AmazFit T-Rex 2 launched with a rugged design, 24-day battery life; specifications, price

AmazFit has launched its all-new AmazFit T-Rex 2 smartwatch, which brings out the classic rugged design and multiple new features. It comes with the support for up to 150 different sports modes, high precision GPS-based location tracking, rugged design with a classic finish, water-resistance rating and much more. Starting off from the display, the AmazFit T-Rex 2 flaunts a 1.39-inches AMOLED colour touchscreen display with a 454 x 454-pixel resolution and a round dial. The gadget comes with a rugged design and the firm claims that it has got military-grade certification for its durability and can operate under extreme temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius and in rough scenarios. It’s a 10 ATM water resistance rating, which means it can survive water pressure equivalent to up to 100 meters.

The device is powered by a 500mAh battery, using which it can operate for up to 24 days in normal usage. It also comes with a battery saver mode which can extend the duration by as much as 45 days. It comes with dual-band GPS and a five-satellite-based navigation system for better accuracy in tracking.

It comes with all the basic sensors such as a heart rate monitoring sensor, blood oxygen saturation detector, and more. It has got up to 150 different sports modes such as cycling, running, yoga and more. It further comes with auto sports detection technology which can automatically detect and start the tracking as soon as possible.

AmazFit T-Rex 2 has been launched in India at INR 15,999 (roughly $200). It will be available in three different colour variants; Astro Black and Gold, Amber Black and Desert Khaki. The smartwatch will be available to purchase from July 2nd, 2022 on Amazon India, AmazFit and Helios shopping websites. It is worth mentioning that the watch has already been launched in global markets back in the month of May with a price tag of $229 (roughly INR 18,000).
