The R&D center of EVE Lithium Energy Headquarters was officially completed in Huizhou yesterday, with an investment of more than 2 billion yuan and a construction area of 145,000 square meters. From the start of construction in August 2021 to the completion of construction in November 2022, it will take a total of 16 months.

Online, EVE Lithium Energy simultaneously released new technologies and products about large cylindrical batteries, “π” battery systems, lithium metal secondary batteries, solid-state and sodium-ion batteries, and hydrogen energy technology.

Specifically, EVE Lithium Energy has released a research and development sample of a new generation of large cylindrical batteries with an energy density of 350Wh/kg, which can achieve ultra-fast charging in 9 minutes. According to reports, while the battery performance has reached a new high, the large cylinder pilot line independently developed by EVE Lithium Energy has accumulated more than 500,000 samples, and the overall excellent rate has reached 92%.

EVE Lithium Energy released the “π” battery system at the same time. According to the data of EVE Lithium Energy, based on the CTP integration technology, with the application of high-efficiency composite new materials and new adhesives, the weight of the “π” battery system is reduced by 10%, and the energy density is as high as 260Wh/kg.

In addition, EVE Lithium Energy has also released lithium metal secondary batteries, solid-state and sodium-ion batteries, and hydrogen energy technologies. Among them, EVE Lithium Energy is based on layered oxide positive electrode and hard carbon negative electrode and uses a C40 aluminum shell as the carrier to design a large cylindrical sodium-ion battery with a specific energy of 135Wh/Kg and a capacity retention rate of up to 90% at 10C. It can still work normally at -40°C, and the capacity retention rate is 80% after 2500 cycles; it is currently preparing for the pilot test with end customers.
