Elon Musk’s successor emerges, Twitter’s new CEO revealed

Twitter Inc. has speculated that Steve Davis, CEO of Elon Musk’s tunneling company The Boring Company, may replace Musk as the new CEO of Twitter. Elon Musk is looking for a new CEO for Twitter, a position he previously said he planned to step down from at the end of this year.

The company’s new CEO is reported to be the first to be appointed.
The company’s new CEO is reportedly helping Twitter plan its latest round of layoffs, which affected about 200 people this week. The company’s newest product is a new product that will be released in the next few months. Davis’ role in the round of layoffs led employees at “all levels” of the company to speculate that he would replace Elon Musk as Twitter’s new CEO.

At the same time, Davis is becoming more and more involved in Twitter’s affairs. Last December, Davis was reportedly told to find a way to cut Twitter’s operating costs by about $500 million. As a result, he ended up cutting costs by about $1 billion by terminating some contracts with outside companies and negotiating lower prices for others. And, taking a page out of Elon Musk’s book, he was one of the first employees to start sleeping at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters in October. Davis spent the first few weeks after the birth of his child sleeping with his newborn and partner in a makeshift bedroom in the office.

Davis becomes CEO of The Boring Company in 2019, a company Elon Musk founded about three years ago with the vision of building a network of high-speed tunnels, or superhigh-speed rail. Prior to becoming CEO of The Boring Company, Davis worked with Elon Musk at SpaceX. The two have been working together since 2003.
