After Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion and became the helmsman of the social media company, he launched a number of controversial actions, the most controversial of which was the blocking of third-party clients. Tweetium is arguably the best third-party Twitter app for Windows thanks to its syncing capabilities, simplicity and stability. However, in its latest tweet, the official said
"I regret to inform you that the new Twitter leadership has banned all third-party clients without any warning. tweeting is now blocked from connecting to the service. Thank you for your support over the years. Tweetium has now been removed from the shop."
Some web-based versions of Twitter, such as Tweeten, are still available, but it is unknown how long they will continue to be available.
