DJI Vehicle Announces a New Generation of Intelligent Driving Solutions

0

DJI Vehicle today announced a new generation of Intelligent Driving Solutions at the 2023 China Electric Vehicle Council 100 Forum.

With a low arithmetic power of 32TOPS and a pure vision configuration of 7V / 9V, this solution realizes L2+ intelligent driving functions including urban memory driving (32TOPS) / urban pilot driving (80TOPS) through “strong vision online real-time perception, no high precision map dependence and no LIDAR dependence”. The pure vision-assisted driving system also supports the expansion of sensors such as millimetre wave radar, ultrasonic radar, LIDAR, and high precision map to enhance the safety redundancy of the system.

DJI Car’s WeChat public number that the new generation of intelligent driving solutions has the following features:

  • Low algorithm threshold and solid algorithm: as low as 32TOPS algorithm power to efficiently realize intelligent driving functions in various scenarios.
  • Feature-rich: active safety, driving assistance, parking assistance, memory parking, cross-level memory parking, memory driving, high-speed pilot driving, and upgraded configuration to achieve urban pilot driving.
  • Simple and efficient sensor configuration: The basic configuration of this solution is 7V, including a pair of DJI vehicle-specific front-view inertial guidance stereo binocular cameras, a rear-view monocular camera, and four surround-view fisheye cameras. (urban pilot driving); upgrade the arithmetic power to 80TOPS, add two side view monocular cameras and upgrade to 9V, which can improve the capability of lateral dynamic vehicle detection, meet the observation needs of left and right turns at intersections, turnaround, traffic circle passage and other scenarios, and realize all intelligent driving functions including urban pilot driving without high precision maps.
  • Extensible: The solution supports expanding the arithmetic power to 200 TOPS, expanding sensors such as millimetre wave radar, ultrasonic radar, LIDAR, and high precision maps, enhancing the safety redundancy of the system and improving the comfortable experience of high-level L2+ functions such as high-speed piloting and urban piloting.

DJI Car says the solution is currently available and is actively promoting mass production with partner car companies. In addition, DJI Automotive revealed that it is already preparing for higher-level intelligent driving.
