China’s power battery production in June totaled 41.3GWh, Ningde Time installed 49.6% of the volume of vehicles ranked first

Today, the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released monthly data on power batteries for June 2022.

In terms of production, in June, China’s power battery production totaled 41.3GWh, up 171.7% year-on-year and up 16.1% sequentially. In terms of sales, in June, China’s power battery sales totaled 47.5GWh, up 297.0% year-on-year. From January to June, the cumulative sales of power batteries in China reached 205.4 GWh, an increase of 253.2% year-on-year. The cumulative sales of ternary batteries accounted for 83.8 GWh, or 40.8% of total sales, up 208.1% year-on-year, while the cumulative sales of lithium iron phosphate batteries accounted for 121.3 GWh, or 59.0% of total sales, up 294.2% year-on-year.

In June, China’s power battery installation volume was 27.0GWh, up 143.3% year-on-year and 45.5% year-on-year. Among them, 11.6GWh of ternary batteries were installed, accounting for 42.9% of the total installed capacity, up 94.9% year-on-year and 39.4% YoY; 15.4GWh of lithium iron phosphate batteries were installed, accounting for 57.1% of the total installed capacity, up 201.5% YoY and 50.7% YoY. 109.8%. Among them, 45.6 GWh of ternary batteries were installed, accounting for 41.4% of the total installed capacity, with a cumulative year-on-year growth of 51.2%; 64.4 GWh of lithium iron phosphate batteries were installed, accounting for 58.5% of the total installed capacity, with a cumulative year-on-year growth of 189.7%.

In June 2022, China’s new energy vehicle market, a total of 37 power battery companies to achieve the installation of supporting vehicles, a decrease of 2 compared to the same period last year. From January to June, a total of 45 power battery companies were installed in China’s new energy vehicle market, 8 fewer than in the same period last year, with the top 3, 5 and 10 power battery companies accounting for 74.3%, 85.3% and 95.4% of the total installed base respectively. The top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery companies installed 84.6 GWh, 93.3 GWh and 104.3 GWh of power batteries, accounting for 76.8%, 84.7% and 94.7% of the total installed capacity, respectively.

The China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance also announced the top 15 domestic power battery installation companies in June. Among them, Ningde Time ranked first with 49.60%, BYD, LG New Energy, China Innovation Aviation (AVIC Lithium), and Guoxuan Hi-Tech ranked 2-5 with 18.53%, 6.19%, 6.01%, and 4.94%, respectively. In addition, the 6th to 15th positions are Xin Wanda, Honeycomb Energy, Yiwei Li-energy, Vonergy, Rui Pu Energy, Tafel, Duoduo, Penghui Energy, Lixin, and Jiewei Power in order.
