Canon EOS R6 Ver1.8.1 firmware update released: Crop and resize images during transfer

Canon has recently released the Ver1.8.1 firmware update for the EOS R6 camera, adding the ability to crop and resize images during transfer to an FTP server. Corrected the phenomenon of Err70 after upgrading firmware version 1.8.0 under certain conditions. Fixed minor issues.

Firmware version 1.8.1 includes the following enhancements and fixes.

  1. added the ability to crop and resize images during transfer to an FTP server.
  2. Fixed Err70 after upgrading firmware version 1.8.0 under certain conditions.
  3. Fixed minor problems.

Canon full-frame special micro camera EOS R6 in August 2020 domestic sales. The EOS R6 has an excellent balance of features, including improved performance in image quality, high-speed continuous shooting, autofocus, 4K video, stabilization, network communication, reliability and operability.

The EOS R6 is equipped with an approximate 20.1 effective megapixel CMOS image sensor and the DIGIC X digital image processor used in the EOS-1D X Mark III and EOS R5, and has a maximum continuous shooting speed of approximately 20 frames per second in electronic shutter shooting mode and approximately 12 frames per second with a mechanical shutter or electronic front curtain shutter.
