Samsung merges its two R&D institutions in Yokohama and Osaka and establishes DSRJ center in Japan

According to Pulse News, Samsung recently merged two R&D institutions in Yokohama and Osaka to create a comprehensive R&D center called DSRJ in Japan. Reports say the new center will be located within Samsung’s Yokohama Research Institute.

Samsung said that the main reason for merging the two R&D centers is the relaxation of relations between South Korea and Japan, hoping to establish a new semiconductor and display R&D center in Japan.

Samsung has also set up a new comprehensive research center for Device eXperience, the device experience department, in the name of “Samsung Research Japan” in Japan. Samsung hopes to enhance comprehensive development capabilities by reorganizing R&D organizations related to device solutions.
