BYD will start selling electric cars in the UK this quarter, starting with the ATTO 3

Chinese automaker BYD will begin selling cars in the United Kingdom this quarter as electric cars gain market share in the country, Bloomberg reported.

An e-mailed statement indicates that BYD has appointed four U.K. dealer partners, including Pendragon Plc, Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd.

The report says BYD’s first model will be the ATTO 3, with additional dealer partners and pricing to be announced in the coming weeks. the ATTO 3 is the first A-segment SUV to feature BYD’s e Platform 3.0, featuring the Dragon Face 3.0 family design language.

According to the data, BYD sold 1,868,543 vehicles in 2022, an increase of 152.5 percent year-on-year, making it the world’s top seller of new energy vehicles.

As the first BYD model for the global market, BYD ATTO 3 has exported 40,014 units in 2022.
