From BYD learned that on December 3, BYD India B2C market’s first high-end pure electric SUV model BYD ATTO 3 SKD assembly of the first car off the line ceremony held in BYD India Chennai factory.
BYD said that the first vehicle of ATTO 3 will inject new vitality into the Indian SUV segment, and will be committed to the ATTO 3’s automotive productiveness, quality and service as a pure electric SUV in the future.
According to the report, the Chennai plant in India plans to complete SKD assembly of 15,000 ATTO 3 units and 2,000 new e6 units by 2023 to meet the Indian market demand. Meanwhile, the Indian plant is also actively exploring capacity enhancement to prepare for more sales in the Indian market.
In October this year, BYD held a brand launch in New Delhi, India, announcing its official entry into the Indian passenger car market and releasing its first high-end pure electric SUV Yuan PLUS (local name ATTO 3), which is also the first sporty pure electric SUV in the Indian auto industry.
The ATTO 3 launched in India is the first model in the Indian market to be equipped with e Platform 3.0, and its appearance follows the Dragon Face 3.0 design language. Zhang Jie, general manager of BYD India, previously said that BYD plans to sell 15,000 ATTO 3 units in India by 2023.
