Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors are ruling the top-performance gaming devices, but the ASUS ROG Phone 6D will change that. We are receiving reports that this coming gaming device will be the first of its kind to use a MediaTek processor. It is said that “D” in the smartphone’s name stands for Dimensity.
Part of the information in question comes from a Weibo blogger who shared a screenshot showing the ASUS ROG Phone 6D name. This is a screenshot of the company’s Chinese website, and it also holds the names of a few devices that the company have to their name. Among the list of devices is the ROG Phone 6.

Digital Chat Station also seems to be optimistic about the performance of the coming gaming device from ASUS. In a Weibo post, he called the coming ASUS ROG MediaTek Dimensity Phone a “Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 killer.” He also said these devices will use Sony’s IMX766 processor on its main camera. Also, the coming ASUS gaming device will support a 165Hz refresh rate.
Another point to prove the launch of this device is the certification of two new ASUS devices. Our sources believe that both devices in the certification are the ASUS ROG Phone 6D and 6D Pro. The certification does not give much information regarding the specification of the two devices. It only makes mention of the charging speed on the two devices being 65W, Digital Chat Station says the battery capacity will be 6000mAh.
