ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro is now the best-performing flagship phone on AnTuTu

just in, the ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro is the best performing device on the AnTuTu benchmark and following it is the ASUS ZenPhone 9.

The competition for the best-performing flagship phone is intense and ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro is taking the lead. With the launch of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, most manufacturers have new devices using this processor. Well, the contenders for the top spot on the table of best-performing smartphones aren’t only Snapdragon devices. Devices using the MediaTek 9000+ flagship processor also join their counterparts in this struggle.

In AnTuTu’s latest updates, the benchmark testing company gave a rundown of top performers according to its testing standards. Among the top five devices that make this list are three Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 devices. Following through is a Snapdragon 8 gen 1 device and a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 device. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 device secure scores reaching over 1.1 million points.

Making the top place is the ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a clean 1,114,647 score. Following it closely is the ASUS ZenFone 9 with the same processor and a score of 1,089,919 a bit below what the ROG Phone 6 Pro scores. Third place is in the firm grips of the Nubian Red Magic 7, this device is about 40,000 points below the second position.

Black Shark 5 Pro takes fourth place with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and following it is the Vivo X80 Pro with the MediaTek processor. If you take a look at the score chart that AnTuTu gave, you’d notice the dominance of gaming smartphones. This is a result of the series of optimizations these devices undergo just to attain top performance capabilities. Asides from the processor power, gaming smartphones are almost perfectly optimized to play games and perform heavy tasks with ease. 

The year is not over, we are still expecting some devices to launch using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro should not feel so comfortable at its top spot, we haven’t seen all the smartphone industry has to offer. Top performers like the Motorola X30 Pro and the Lenovo Legion Y70 are yet to launch. Once available, they might go for the top performance spot on the AnTuTu benchmark.
