After a long time, Asus has launched its new generation of Asus ROG Phone 6 series in India. ROG Phone 6 and Phone 6 Pro were debuted officially in the company’s official event that happened on Tuesday. Both the devices target the performance and gaming enthusiasts, it’s powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset.
Asus ROG Phone 6, 6 Pro specifications
Both the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro offer similar massive 6.78-inches Samsung AMOLED display with FHD+ 1080 x 2448 pixel resolution with whopping 165Hz high refresh rate display, 720Hz touch sampling rate, 1ms response time, 23ms touch latency, up to 1200 nits of peak brightness HDR 10+ certification and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The brand has provided a small POLED display on the rear panel of the ROG Phone 6 Pro with ROG Vision.
They are powered by the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset SoC with Adreno 730 GPU. Asus has also included the Game6 Cooling system in both smartphones which will ensure the temperature of the device remains under control while heavy usage. The brand has claimed that the performance of the cooling system has been improved by 10 degrees Celsius.
Coming down to the camera department, both the device offer a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 766 primary camera, 13-megapixels secondary ultrawide and 5-megapixels macro camera. The front houses a 12-megapixels selfie snapper. The device has got 6000mAh battery and 30W fast charger in the box, even though the device supports 65W fast wired charging. Additional specifications include dual 5-magnet 12×16 Super Linear speakers tuned by Dirac audio, IPX4 water resistance rating, and support for external gaming accessories.
The device measures the dimension of 172.83×77.25×10.3mm and weighs 239 grams. As for the connectivity, both the devices have got 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and two USB Type-C ports. Onboard sensors include GNSS GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou, QZSS, NaviC, accelerometer, e-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, under-display fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 6 and grip press.
The top-tier ROG Phone 6 Pro has 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, whereas the ROG Phone 6 comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as standard. The ROG Phone 6 Pro has a small POLED display on the back, whereas the ROG Phone 6 only has an illuminated ROG logo. There are essentially no differences between these devices besides these.

In terms of cost, the 12GB+256GB variant of the regular ROG Phone 6 costs INR 71,999, while the 18GB+512GB variant of the ROG Phone 6 Pro costs INR 89,999. The Phantom Black and Storm White colour options for the Asus ROG Phone 6 and the Storm White colour options for the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro are both available.
