Apple’s “iPhone 14 Pro Max”? Android phone clone has appeared in the Chinese market

Apple announced that it will hold a special “Far Out” event at 1 a.m. Beijing time on September 8. The event will still be held online and is expected to bring new products such as the iPhone 14 / Pro series, Apple Watch Series 8, and the launch of iOS 16.

While the iPhone 14 / Pro series has not yet been released, attempts to copy Apple’s “iPhone 14 Pro Max” have been made available in China ahead of schedule, mimicking some of the device’s key design elements in order to trick some customers.

These Android copycats embody the “iPhone 14 Pro Max” rumored to have a larger rear camera array and a “pill and punch” display that replaces the iPhone 13 Pro’s bangs notch. Even the box tries to mimic the expectations of “iPhone” customers, including barcodes, sticky pull tabs and accessories.

These devices run Android that mimics the iOS theme, but clearly do not replicate the real experience of Apple’s iPhone devices. In terms of hardware, there are actual significant differences between the phone and the real “iPhone 14 Pro Max” model, such as the “big chin” bottom bezel and the “amped up” rear camera. A video from the YouTube channel Amazing Unboxing provides a demonstration of the phone.
