AppleCare+ updated to cover “unlimited repairs”

0

In conjunction with the release of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, Apple today updated AppleCare+ to introduce support for “unlimited repairs” instead of two repairs per year. Apple says AppleCare+ for iPhone “includes unlimited accidental damage protection,” and while unlimited service is available, a service fee is charged each time.

There is a $29 fee for screen or back glass damage and a $99 fee for other accidental damage.

Accidental damage includes physical damage caused by accidental and unintentional events and does not include theft. For accidental loss of a device, Apple has a separate Theft and Loss AppleCare+ program that covers two similar incidents per calendar year.

Apple Watch, iPad and Mac can also be scheduled for unlimited repairs, and this feature applies to every AppleCare+ plan.

The change is also international, with the same banners appearing in the U.K., France, Australia and elsewhere.

Apple has added new pricing details for AppleCare+ coverage for the iPhone 14 series. iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max each cost $269 for two years, or $13.49 per month. iPhone 14 costs $219 for two years or $11.49 per month. iPhone 14 Plus The two-year cost for the iPhone 14 Plus is $249, or $12.49 per month.
