Apple unveils next-generation Apple TV 4K A15 processor, up to 128GB flash memory

Tonight, Apple announced the next generation of Apple TV 4K, powered by the A15 bionic chip and supporting HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

The new Apple TV 4K comes in two configurations: Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi), which offers 64GB of storage, and Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi + Ethernet), which supports Gigabit Ethernet for fast networking and streaming and has 128GB of storage.

Apple said customers can now order the new Apple TV 4K with Siri Remote for a new starting price of $129 (approximately RMB 928), available starting Friday, November 4.

The new Apple TV 4K is described as A15 bionic, with CPU performance now 50 percent faster than the previous generation, delivering better responsiveness, faster navigation and quicker UI animations. GPU performance is now 30 percent faster than the previous generation for a smoother gaming experience.

As the hub of the home, Apple TV 4K securely connects to compatible smart home accessories, including HomeKit cameras, lights, curtains and more. Apple TV 4K is also a key component of the new smart home connectivity standard Matter, which enables a wide range of accessories to work together seamlessly across platforms to help make the real vision of the smart home a reality. With wired network support, Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi + Ethernet) can reliably and securely connect compatible Thread-based smart home accessories.
