Apple Releases Apple Watch Ultra: Big, Sturdy Titanium Flagship Model

0

Over the years, Apple has spoken intensively with many well-known explorers and elite athletes and was inspired by their advice to create a watch for exploration, adventure and endurance. After rumors and leaks over the past week, Apple is introducing the Apple Watch Ultra, an oversized and rugged version focused on sports people.

The Apple Watch Ultra is different in many ways from what the Apple Watch Series 8 offers.

To complement the larger screen size, the Apple Watch Ultra also uses a large titanium case that offers greater protection than the steel and aluminum versions used in other models.

Another change is on the side, as the digital crown and side buttons are now placed on a small extension around the edge. The digital crown is slightly sunk into this section, also for the purpose of added protection, and the strap design has more unique enhancements to prevent accidental release during strenuous exercise, and the entire unit is MIL-STD 810 military-grade certified.

Users can choose from three types of straps: the Alpine strap, which has a woven strap and a loop; the Marine strap, which can be stretched over a diving suit; and the Mountain Road strap, which has a lightweight design and added flexibility, and it is also the thinnest strap introduced to date.

Since Ultra is also designed for water sports, it’s perfect for recreational scuba divers. And a new app designed specifically for them will be available soon.

With the addition of the Action Button, Apple Watch Ultra makes the workout experience even more precise, and a second speaker has been added to the Apple Watch Ultra body to enhance volume output.

The dial features, in addition to supporting a variety of professional information, also comes with a unique night mode with peak screen brightness up to 2000 nits.

The new Oceanic Plus app will turn the Apple Watch Ultra into a dive computer.

Internally, the Apple Watch Ultra uses the new S8 chip, cellular communication will be standard on the Apple Watch Ultra, and the new GPS chip and GPS frequency will solve the problem of poor GPS signals in some places.

The Apple Watch Ultra will be available on September 23rd and will cost $799 across the board.
