The Xiaomi Smart Speaker is the latest AloT product to be launched in India by Xiaomi. It’s not just a smart speaker; it also functions as an IR controller for your home appliances and has LED digital clock support. The device also has Google Assistant and Chromecast support built in. It also has a host of other features.
Xiaomi Smart Speaker specifications and features
Starting from the look, the Xiaomi Smart Speaker boasts a similar-looking form factor, compared to its predecessor. The speaker also comes with a LED display which supports adaptive brightness, and the brightness will be changed automatically based on ambient light. The display can also tell you about volume and other stats. It has got support for Chromecast and Google Assistant. Users will be able to access the assistant after a simple setup.
On the top, we have physical control buttons that allow us to adjust the device’s volume, play/pause, mute audio, and turn it on or off. You can also set your alarm to a song of your choice. The speaker features a 1.5-inch full-range driver and two microphones with far-field voice wake-up support. The manufacturer claims that it can produce balanced sound output. You can get stereo sound by pairing two Smart Speakers to create a surround-like experience.
The speaker supports Bluetooth V5.0. The device has dimensions of 95x95x14mm and weighs approximately 628 grams. You can also use it to control other appliances in the home because it has IR blaster support. You can also trigger the action using Google Assistant, and it will transfer the signal using the IR sensor.

The Xiaomi Smart Speaker is priced at INR 5,999 (~$75) in India. It will be available to purchase at INR 4,999 (~$62) as an introductory offer, for a limited duration of time. The device will go on sale via Xiaomi’s official online store, Flipkart and authorized partners. The device has only one Black colour variant.
