The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro (22101316C) appeared on Geekbench 5 yesterday with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 and 6GB of RAM.

The Geekbench 5 scores show that the device is equipped with the Dimensity 1080 with a single-core score of 767 and a multi-core score of 2008, which is similar to the Dimensity 920.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080 was released on October 11, using TSMC’s 6nm process, equipped with an octa-core CPU, including two ARM Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz.

The MediaTek Dimensity 920 is equipped with 2 ARM Cortex-A78 cores at 2.5GHz and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz. on paper, the Dimensity 1080 is really just a small overclocked version of the Dimensity 920, so we can’t expect too much performance, but only hope that there will be progress in power consumption.

Xiaomi Redmi Note series started a strategy of two iterations a year, with the Redmi Note 11T series in the first half focusing on performance and the Redmi Note 12 series in the second half focusing on “experience”.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro will be equipped with Sony IMX766 main camera, with 1/1.56″ large base and 2μm fusion pixels, support OIS optical stabilization. In terms of charging, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 is expected to be equipped with a 67W charger, while the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ support 120W and 210W fast charging respectively.
