Xiaomi Redmi K60 lineup may use the existing Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC

Back in March, the Redmi K50 series of smartphones was introduced. Later in August, the K50 Ultra, which features a Snapdragon chipset, was released. Now that the K50 lineup’s upcoming successors are drawing near, there are already leaks and rumours about the K60 series floating about online. The Redmi K60 line of smartphones, according to a recent report, would allegedly include Qualcomm’s 2021 flagship processor.

Known tipster Digital Chat Station on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo has said that the Redmi K60 series is currently under the testing phase and the work for the devices has been started. The device might soon enter the manufacturing phase if the device passes the design verification test. He has further said that the devices will have a 2K resolution screen.

The device might pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging. Moreover, it will be powered by the 2021 flagship chipset released by Qualcomm i.e., the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. Apart from this, we do not have any other words on the specifications of the device.

Also, company officials had recently asked on Weibo if the users want the Dynamic Island-like feature on the Redmi K60 phones or not. Some reports also mention that it was a hint and the brand has already started working on the feature. It will be officially revealed during the launch of the devices.
