After the launch of the Xiaomi Civi 2, the official microblogging site of AAC RuiSheng Technology claimed a number of new technologies for the phone, including the world’s first 1G6P WLG glass-plastic hybrid lens and a stainless steel ultra-thin liquid cooling VC.
The WLG glass-plastic hybrid lens on the Xiaomi Civi 2 is specially designed by Chengrui Optics, using a combination of one WLG wafer-grade glass lens and six plastic lenses, which has more powerful optical performance than the traditional 7P plastic lens. This reduces image noise and improves edge-to-edge and close-focus image quality.
Officially, Chengrui Optical’s WLG glass lenses are “ED ultra-low dispersion optical glass lenses”, which offer better performance in terms of refractive index, dispersion, reliability and thermal stability than plastic lenses, effectively solving the problems and limitations faced by plastic lenses. WLG technology has significant advantages over other glass molding technologies in terms of optical performance, optical accuracy, lens structure, lens thickness and ultimate performance. The 1G6P WLG glass-plastic hybrid lens designed by Chengrui Optics offers a 15% increase in light intake, a 5% increase in resolution and a 5-10% reduction in overall lens height compared to the same size plastic lens.
The 1G6P glass-plastic hybrid lens is another breakthrough in lens miniaturization, enabling a 5-10% reduction in overall lens height compared to the same-size plastic lens. The Xiaomi Civi 2, with a large F1.8 aperture, has 7 lenses stacked on top of each other, yet the lens height is only 6.2mm, helping to make the Xiaomi Civi 2 even thinner.
In terms of heat dissipation, the VC homogeneous plate is innovatively made of pure stainless steel, which has the advantages of high structural strength, ultra-thin thickness, high thermal conductivity and good flatness, and the device is only 0.33mm thick, 17% thinner than its counterparts.
The Xiaomi Civi 2 phone is now officially released, priced from 2399 yuan. The Xiaomi Civi 2 weighs 171.8g, is 7.23mm thick and features a 6.55-inch 2400 x 1080 OLED dual-curved 58° flexible display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and features a 4500mAh high-density LiCoO2 battery with 67W fast charging and 40 minutes to fully charge.
