Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics official learned that a model RX1E-S two-seat electric seaplane in March 20 in Yongjing County, Gansu Province, Liujiaxia scenic area to the Yang wharf slide out, take off, marking the world’s first two-seat electric seaplane developed by Shenyang Liaoning General Aviation Research Institute officially delivered.
According to the introduction, the RX1E-S two-seater electric seaplane is the world’s first floating two-seater electric seaplane with lithium battery as the propulsion energy, which has zero carbon emission, smooth operation of the electric propulsion system and low noise, and the aircraft only needs a suitable water area to operate, which requires low infrastructure and maintenance cost.
Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics official learned that the aircraft has a highly efficient aerodynamic design, spreading chord ratio, gliding performance, good lift resistance ratio and other characteristics, the aircraft’s system integration is high, easy to operate, simple to learn, the application prospects are very broad, can be applied to primary pilot training, private transportation, tourism, aerial photography and aerial mapping and other fields.
Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics said that for more than ten years, the university has opened up the research field of new energy electric aircraft in China for the major needs in the fields of green aviation, energy power and national defense construction, and developed a series of new energy electric aircraft models, three models have passed the airworthiness certification of the Civil Aviation Administration, and 10 models have achieved the first flight of the scientific research verification aircraft.
