Windows 11 Android Subsystem update focuses on gaming

There is a new update to Windows 11 Android Subsystem, and it brings more gaming integrations to the platform. One of the biggest features of Windows 11 after its launch was the introduction of more Android applications. Although the applications weren’t going to come directly from the Google PlayStore users were still thrilled.

This new update brings more platform compatibility in how Android games work on Windows 11. Overall, Microsoft promises better gaming on devices running Windows 11. Various styles of playing are now available on the platform.

From their insider blog website, Windows gives us a quick rundown of what we are to expect from this update. Now there is support for games which use joysticks or gamepads. It also brings better aiming for archery games, by putting the arrow keys more effectively.

There are also improvements to the scrolling and network connections while gaming. The update sets the minimum window size to a default of 220dp, which suits the orientation of Android games. Certainly, there are some security updates to the Windows 11 Android Subsystem. 

Graphics also gets some improvements to make the games feel real, as they would on an Android device. We hope that Microsoft will integrate Google PlayStore into the their Android Subsystem. This will bring more Android games to the Windows operating system. The update will be coming to Windows 11 users over the air, first to insiders and then to the public.
