To improve user experience, Microsoft Xbox Series X/S boot time will become faster. This increase in boot time will be made possible by creating a shorter boot-up animation. By doing this, the time to start the console will improve by up to 5 seconds.

By reducing how long the Xbox animation shows up after boot, the company’s team cut down the boot time. Our sources got to test this feature, and it works just fine. But how can you get this feature up and running on your Microsoft Xbox Series X/S console?

It turns out that as long as you have your console set to the Energy-Saving mode, you’d be able to enjoy faster boot time. This mode turns off your Xbox once not in use so that it saves you the electricity cost of always running even when not in use. With this mode, you need to boot your Xbox before you play.

To confirm if your Xbox Series X/S (or any other model) is on the Energy-Saving mode, take the following steps. Press the Xbox logo on your controller. This opens your profile and system settings. Once it’s open, select settings, then general, and power mode. Pick the power mode drop and change your setting to Energy-Saving mode.

By default, the Energy-Saving mode is active on the Series X/S. Microsoft Xbox put this into effect at the beginning of this year. So if you are using one of the more recent consoles, you should experience faster boot time without altering your settings.
