On Thursday, Microsoft officially hit the push switch for Windows 10 22H2. Insider testers in the Release Preview channel can now get a head start by downloading it as a Cumulative Update. Microsoft has not yet shared the changelog, as this update is only an enablement package to help Windows 10 users upgrade from 21H2 to 22H2.

The compiled version number of Windows 10 22H2 has increased slightly from KB5015684 (19045.1862) to the latest 19045.1865 (KB5015878).

Interestingly, Neowin notes that — even non-Insider testers can easily upgrade to Windows 10 22H2 by simply downloading the KB5015684 enablement package.

Microsoft officials say the release is aimed at Windows 10 users who are “looking for” a fresh experience. But Insider testers who are signed up for the Release Preview channel can get it automatically through Windows Update.

If you’re already part of the Release Preview channel, you can now go to Settings → Windows Update and choose to download and install Windows 10 Version 22H2 as needed.
