MediaTek is readying to launch their next-generation flagship processor, the Dimensity 9200 and leaks say the Vivo X90 will use this SoC. Already, this coming processor has gone through testing and breaks the score of the more recent MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC. This means that the coming Vivo flagship series base model will be able to compete in terms of performance with its Pro model.

As we already know, the Vivo X90 Pro will make use of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Both the coming flagship processor from Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek will launch sometime next month. They will come with a boost in performance that will reflect on the next-generation flagship devices to launch using either one of them.

Leaks show that the CPU and GPU performance of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC will get a necessary boost. This will tell on the performance of the Vivo X90 in most areas, including photography and gaming. Additional information has it that the X90 will be Vivo’s first vanilla or base model to launch with water and dust resistance, thanks to an IP rating.

From the information we have been able to gather, the Vivo X90 series might launch before the end of the year. Already, Vivo has shown off the capability of their new image processing chip to be present on both of the coming flagship devices. So, we can expect not only great processing power but also amazing photography abilities from this series once it becomes available.
