Vivo X Fold S might launch as the successor of Vivo X Fold; rumours

Samsung and Xiaomi had recently launched their next generation of foldable smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 were announced recently. Now, it’s looking like Vivo is gearing up to join the race of launching the latest generation of foldable smartphones by launching its Vivo X Fold S, the successor of the Vivo X Fold device.

Vivo X Fold S; launching soon?

According to a post shared by a Weibo user, the Chinese manufacturer’s upcoming foldable phone could be the Vivo X Fold S. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which is currently Qualcomm’s top model, is also rumoured to be included in an upcoming smartphone from Vivo. 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging is also said to be supported by it. Additionally, two under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensors are rumoured to be included in the rumoured Vivo device.

Vivo X Fold S

In a report shared previously, it has been said that Vivo might launch a flagship foldable smartphone soon. However, no particular device name was mentioned. Now, we are getting hints that it’s no other than the Vivo X Fold S device. The device will be launched in the market as a successor to the Vivo X Fold device, which itself had its own glory in the market.

As for the specifications, we don’t have single information on that but we expect it to bring some improvements over the predecessor. For instance, the Vivo X Fold has offered specifications like the main display of the 8.03-inch Samsung E5 2K+ (1,916×2,160-pixel) model. A 6.53-inch cover display with FHD+ (1,080×2,520 pixels) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate is also featured on the Vivo phone. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM power the phone.
