Ubisoft is working on Far Cry 7 and Far Cry multiplayer

Since the release of “Far Cry 6” in 2021, the “Far Cry” series has been a bit quiet and considering that this is one of Ubisoft’s signatures, we think it will soon welcome Come to a new generation of sequels.

Accurate Uncle Party @Tom Henderson reveals that Ubisoft Toronto is working on two new Far Cry games, a single-player Far Cry 7 and a multiplayer game.

Far Cry 7 was codenamed Project Blackbird, while the multiplayer game was codenamed Project Maverick. Both projects are being developed by Ubisoft Toronto, with participation from Ubisoft Montreal, he said.

The projects are said to have originally been developed as a single game under the vision of longtime Far Cry senior producer Dan Hay but were split into two games when he left Ubisoft for Blizzard.

Both games are set in Alaska. It’s worth mentioning that back in 2015, Ubisoft asked fans if they wanted to play an extreme survival game of Far Cry in remote Alaska. He said that the tentative release date of the game is the fall of 2025, but this time is more optimistic, and there is a high probability that there will be an extension.
