Tesla FSD Beta Autopilot feature available to all North American paying owners

Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) announced that Tesla’s FSD (Full Self-Driving) Beta is now available to all North American paying car owners.

Tesla FSD Beta began testing in 2020, initially for a small number of customers, and has since been expanded to approximately 160,000 owners. Experiencing Tesla FSD Beta also typically requires owners to meet Tesla’s built-in safety score requirements and to have 100 miles of use of Autopilot, the advanced driver assistance feature.

Now that it’s fully open, FSD Beta no longer looks at user ratings and familiarity and is available for a price.

Tesla FSD Beta requires an additional $15,000 (about RMB 107,000) to open. The feature allows the car to drive itself to the destination entered in the navigation system, but the driver still needs to stay alert and ready to take over the controls.
