It is reported that the new car is based on the MEB platform, positioning pure electric mid-size sedan, the domestic version will be produced by FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC-Volkswagen. AERO as a global model will be the first to be sold in the Chinese market, followed by the European and North American markets. AERO will be released in the first half of 2023 and delivered in the second half of 2023.

In terms of body size, the data of the production car has not been announced yet, but the reference data of the ID.AERO concept car is 4975mm×1897mm×1528mm, and the wheelbase is 2966mm. The official power parameters of the ID.AERO has not been announced yet. In terms of range, it is expected that the new car will be equipped with a 77kW battery with a WLTP range of 620km, and the interior has not been revealed, but according to the previously announced concept drawings, the new car’s interior is expected to be significantly different from the current ID series.
