According to Teslarati reports, Tesla V4 Supercharger stations began to be installed in Italy and were recently opened to the public southeast of Rome. These are the first V4 Superchargers in the country, offering both V3 and V4 Superchargers.

It is learned from foreign media that Italy is the latest country in Europe to receive Tesla V4 Super Charging Station. The first country in Europe to launch Tesla V4 Super Charging Station is the Netherlands in Hardwijk. Last month, Tesla installed a V4 Supercharger in the UK, the first to support contactless payments.

At V4 Superchargers in the UK, users can scan a QR code to pay via the Tesla App or pay by swiping their card. Earlier this year, Tesla confirmed V4 Supercharger charging speeds of 350 kilowatts. Supercharger customers in the Netherlands told Teslarati that the V4 Supercharger has a maximum charging current of 615A, a 31% increase, and has longer cables.

The Tesla Model 3 Highland has arrived in Italian showrooms just days before V4 Superchargers open to the public, with deliveries of the new Model 3 expected to begin next month.

Honda released a statement, that said it has reached an agreement with Tesla, since 2025 in North America on the market of electric models that will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS), so that its customers can use the Tesla Supercharger station.

Honda has also committed to making CCS Combo to NACS adapters available by 2025 so that existing models (and upcoming models) will be able to use Tesla’s vast Supercharger network. Prior to announcing NACS, Honda partnered with BMW, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis to create a nationwide EV charging network to compete with Tesla’s charging network.

It is noted that Ford, GM, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz and Fisker have all previously announced that they will be adopting the Tesla charging standard.

According to Reuters, the US state of Texas announced that it will require electric vehicle charging companies to adopt Tesla’s charging standard NACS, and to adopt the nationally recognized CCS standard, so as to obtain federal funding to achieve this. The state’s highway electrification plan, Texas has thus become the first state in the United States to mandate the use of NACS standards.

The U.S. Department of Transportation stated earlier this year that charging companies must provide support for the CCS standard to be eligible for federal funding of up to $7.5 billion, a move to prevent Tesla’s NACS standard dominates North American charging networks. However, federal funds will flow to the grassroots through the states, so the states have the right to increase the use of funds based on the minimum requirements of the central government.

“Ford, GM and Rivian have decided to adopt the NACS standard, which has caused us to change our previous requirements for manufacturers. Now we require manufacturers to also provide a CCS DC fast charging,” the Texas government said in an email to the media. converter and a NACS converter.”

Lew Cox, director of business development at MD7, which helps manufacturers deploy chargers, said Texas’ decision would have a huge impact on the adoption of NACS in other states: “It will effectively make NACS the new common standard.”

Texas is home to Tesla’s headquarters and a new car factory. Since Ford and GM’s announcements, top U.S. charging companies like ChargePoint and EVgo have said they want to add the NACS standard to the chargers they offer in the U.S. market. Word is that other states such as California, Iowa and Michigan are also reviewing the changing charging market.

t was previously reported that Rivian, an electric pickup truck manufacturer, announced the introduction of the NACS charging standard yesterday, becoming another American car company to join the Tesla charging standard camp after GM and Ford.

Tesla announced today that it is opening some Supercharging stations to non-Tesla electric car owners in the United States, and explained how it works.

According to Tesla, it now has more than 40,000 Supercharger stations around the world, with 15 minutes to make up for 200 miles of energy (about 321.87 kilometers).

If you are an electric car owner in the U.S. and want to go to a Tesla Supercharger now, how do you do it?

It’s simple. Non-Tesla owners can simply download the Tesla app and create an account, then bundle a credit card to access some of the Magic Dock-equipped Superchargers. It’s worth noting that these charging stations are currently located primarily in New York.

In the Tesla app, EV owners can see the charging station on a map and select the level you want to charge at, then simply grab the handle (CCS adapter) that sticks out of the Magic Dock and connect it to their car.

More information about the Tesla Supercharger Open Pilot Program can be found on the official website.

Tesla announced: On December 26th, Tesla will complete and put into use the 10,000th super charging pile in mainland China at the foot of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai. It is called “charging? More convenient than refueling! 2023, what’s so difficult about charging.”

Tesla Supercharger Pile is independently operated by Tesla and is an exclusive high-speed DC charging pile for Tesla models. At present, Tesla Supercharger piles have completed better coverage in first- and second-tier cities, and mainly occupy shopping malls and other crowded places, allowing car owners to quickly complete charging when they go out for shopping or dining.

In November this year, Tesla built 30 new supercharging stations, 125 supercharging piles, 7 destination charging stations and 24 destination charging piles in mainland China, which have been launched in 25 cities (counties) nationwide.

To date, Tesla has completed and opened more than 1,400 Supercharging stations and more than 9,700 Supercharging posts in mainland China, as well as more than 700 destination charging stations and more than 1,900 destination charging posts.

In addition, the list of cities where Tesla expects to add new Supercharging stations in December includes: Shanghai, Taizhou, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Wuxi, Changzhou, Tianjin, Jinan, Beijing, Songyuan, Guangzhou, Huizhou, Dongguan, Nanchang, Changsha, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Taizhou, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Quzhou, Zhanjiang, Haikou, Shenyang, Zhenjiang, Nanyang, Xi’an, Hefei, Shenzhen, Foshan, Quanzhou, Enping, Zhuhai, Qinhuangdao and Aba Qiang Autonomous Prefecture.

According to previous information, Tesla’s Supercharger network covers 100% of all provincial capitals and municipalities in mainland China, and has achieved full coverage at the prefecture level in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hebei, Shandong, Guangdong, Guizhou and Shanxi.

Tesla officially launched its Supercharger pilot program in Italy on Wednesday, allowing users of non-Tesla vehicles to use its Supercharger network in Italy as well.

Tesla has expanded the pilot program to 15 European countries since it was launched in November 2021.

The pilot program allows owners of non-Tesla electric cars to charge at any of the company’s Supercharging stations at rates between 150 and 250 kilowatts. This is a test program to evaluate the use of Superchargers by non-Tesla drivers.

The pilot project is currently running in 15 countries.

France

The Netherlands

Norway

United Kingdom

Spain

Sweden

Belgium

Austria

Denmark

Finland

Germany

Luxembourg

Switzerland

Iceland

Italy

In fact, Tesla has been considering expanding the program to other regions for a long time and expects to open it to global users once the pilot is completed.

It’s worth noting that while the U.S. has a large network of EV charging infrastructure, it still doesn’t seem to be able to meet the current demand for EV charging. Therefore, Tesla this week in the United States under the strong appeal of users to disclose its electric car charging design, no surprise in the future will further open its charging network.

According to a recently disclosed White House memo, Tesla plans to open its Supercharger network to non-Tesla electric vehicles in the U.S. by the end of 2022. Tesla is already piloting in several major cities in Europe, but there has never been a clear response as to when U.S. Superchargers will be open to non-Tesla owners.

InsideEVs Media released this memo on June 28 that these electric vehicle owners could be using superchargers as early as the end of this year. “Later this year, Tesla will begin production of a new supercharger unit that will enable non-Tesla EV drivers in North America to use a Tesla supercharger,” the White House said.

Tesla did not respond to an email requesting confirmation of those plans (Elon Musk disbanded the company’s public relations office in 2019). It’s unclear whether the White House intended to copy Tesla’s own statements about the program. Musk is extremely hostile to President Joe Biden, who has purposely avoided mentioning Tesla when touting the auto industry’s electrification plans.
